Fran has "bottomed out" with her white blood cells, hemoglobin and platelets which is good! Just what is supposed to happen. The staff at Blue Ridge Cancer Care sent her home immediately today and told her to go to bed. She can't go out and can't bring food in. She feels "not great but OK" and she's finally feeling some of the bone pain that everyone has been talking about.
A big thank you to Samia Ward, Natalie Norris and Connie Jones for taking Fran to see the Dr. this week.
Hopefully the "counts" will begin to start up this weekend and we will be able to go back to Duke on Monday for her stem cell harvesting. That is our prayer that everything will stay on schedule.
